About Mozzcat
Mozzcat Services is me, Robb Sadler, bringing together years of business, software, media, music, and hands-on technical work for people who need something useful finished.
Business Is Personal
I have been a partner, a consultant, a manager, an employee, and a sole proprietor. I have led teams, worked with stakeholders, built software, fixed old systems, and had enough business experience to know that decisions are not abstract to the people living with them.
What I enjoy is making things work: the software, the user interface, the communication, the expectations, and the path forward. Sometimes that means building something new. Sometimes it means untangling a mess that already exists. Sometimes it means helping someone decide what not to spend money on.
That is the thread through Mozzcat Services. The work may be a website, a small business tool, a video edit, a mix, or a box of old tapes. I still approach it the same way: listen carefully, keep the people in view, and get the useful thing done.
Smaller businesses often need experienced technical help before they need a full-time technical hire.
Websites & Software
My rate may be higher than someone just getting started, but experience can often take you further in less time. I have been the person asked to walk into a strained project or a messy codebase and help it become workable again.
I am especially interested in practical work for smaller businesses: the website that needs to stop fighting you, the internal process that needs a tool, the half-finished automation, or the technical decision that would benefit from a calm second set of eyes.
Media & Music
Music has always been an important part of life for me. I have had project studios for many years: sometimes a couple rooms, sometimes a garage setup, sometimes a bedroom packed a little too tightly with drums, mics, a desk, and whatever else had to fit.
I have recorded in professional studios, built rooms, torn rooms back out when we moved, and learned a lot by trying to make real recordings in real houses. That experience carries into video editing, audio cleanup, music production, mixing, and mastering.
Media work does not always need to be glamorous. Sometimes it needs taste, patience, decent tools, and somebody willing to pay attention.
Video Digitization
The digitization side of Mozzcat is intentionally more fixed-scope. Hi-8 and Video8 tapes need careful handling, clear options, and a straightforward way to order without turning the whole thing into a custom consulting project.
Your tapes are handled locally. They do not disappear into a national warehouse line. I inspect them, capture them in real time, organize the files, and communicate with you when something needs a decision.
No mailing irreplaceable tapes across the country.
Published digitization packages keep the fixed-scope work simple.
Color, clarity, scene splitting, and DVD-style ISO options are available.
Local pickup/drop-off can be requested, with mileage confirmed when needed.
A few things should stay consistent no matter what kind of project we are talking about.
The stated problem is not always the whole problem. I want to understand the people, pressure, budget, and desired outcome.
Some work should start small. Some work needs a bigger plan. Either way, expectations should be clear before money gets spent.
I like polish, but usefulness comes first. The goal is a result that helps the person who has to use it.
You work with the person doing the thinking and the work, which keeps decisions closer to the actual project.
